The Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics (SKBI) is the premier Asian institute for research and training in financial economics.
It is the think-tank in Singapore Management University (SMU) that spearheads and excels in cutting-edge research in finance and financial markets which is of strategic and practical relevance to the Singapore and regional economies.

Supported by our faculty and in collaboration and partnership with industry experts, relevant government bodies and other world-renowned research agencies, the Institute conducts fundamental and applied research which aims at solving real-world issues. Besides research, SKBI also actively engages in training and consultancy, executive education and research dissemination through organising courses, seminars and conferences. Our purpose-oriented activities are designed to serve as enablers in bridging the gap between theory and practice and to act as accelerators in helping to shape financial policies and regulations, which are especially important given the uncertainty in the global markets.

Visa Invitation Letter

Prior to traveling to Singapore for the 2015 International Conference Innovation for Financial Services, please review the Immigration and Checkpoint Authority List of Countries requiring a Visa for Entry to clarify your Visa requirements.

The Conference Organizers recommend that if required, you apply for a visa as soon as your attendance is confirmed, as visa requests can often take months to process. If necessary, the Conference Organizers can issue an official letter of invitation conditional upon registration and payment, which should be included in the application and visa interview. Please submit the letter, together with your visa application form, to the Singapore embassy or consulate in your country.

Letters of Invitation will not be issued to Accompanying Persons. Please note that while the letter will be an official invitation, applicants are responsible for all costs of attending the Conference. Application for a visa must be made by the person to whom this letter is addressed and directly to the appropriate Singapore Embassy/High Commission.

The Conference Secretariat will not apply for a visa on your behalf. For details, please visit the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of the Republic of Singapore website.

Once your registration is complete, please send your request for a Letter of Invitation to info@innofin.org.
