In recent years, increased competition and fear of commoditisation have been powerful drivers for banks to focus on customer satisfaction. Making sure that customers can accomplish a complete range of everyday banking activities online is crucial. But this alone might not give banks that extra edge required to trigger a real increase in customer loyalty. The fact is that, across channels, consumers often receive little assistance from their banks in their daily money management activities. The good news is that digital banking is an ideal medium to deliver contextual and customised financial advisory over and above traditional capabilities like the basic display of transaction details, fund transfers and bill payments. The presentation will describe how software components delivered as APIs can offer that functionality via an extra layer of improved capabilities and experience into the financial institutions’ existing digital banking services, with a high degree of personalisation and value for both consumers and their banks.
Olivier is a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience in banking technology and entrepreneurship. He is currently the founder & CEO of Moneythor, a software company specialised in digital banking & customer analytics.
Prior to Moneythor, he was Global Solutions Director, Transaction Banking at Misys, one of the leading banking software providers. His role was to manage globally the strategic direction and the successful roll-out of Misys portfolio of front-to-back solutions in the trade & supply chain finance, cash management, payments, financial messaging and digital banking space. Over the past 10 years, he has been a regular speaker, panelist and moderator at global industry events such as the ICC Banking Commission, Exporta, Euromoney and Sibos.
Olivier was previously the founder & CEO of NEOMAlogic, a company specialised in the development of innovative Internet-based front-end solutions for corporates and banks, where he formulated the strategy for the company and played a major role in its product's ongoing development, sales, marketing and support, until the sale of the company to Misys. Olivier started his career as a Team Leader at BNP Paribas in Europe, North America and Asia, where he was responsible for the Trade Finance back-office system deployed in the bank's international network. He holds a MSc degree in computer science and applied mathematics from ENSIMAG in France. He speaks fluent English, French and Norwegian.
